Tug of War Studio · Getting started

Set up your first battle.

Start with a simple battle and two teams. Once that feels right, you can make the look and rules your own.

For the Windows app · Current download 1.4.2

Get the app ready

Install Tug of War Studio on your Windows computer and enter the Activation Key from your purchase email. Keep the app open while you stream.

You will also need the software you use to show your stream, such as OBS or TikTok Studio, and a supported connection for TikTok gifts, such as TikFinity.

Choose your teams and gifts

Give each team a name your viewers can recognize. Choose which supported gifts help each team and how those gifts add to the score.

Begin with a small number of gifts. It is easier to explain the battle when viewers can quickly tell which team they are helping.

Put the battle on your stream

The app gives you a link for the battle display. Add that link to your streaming software using its Browser Source option. This is how the moving scoreboard appears on your stream.

Resize and position it so your viewers can see the score without covering the part of your stream they came to watch.

Check it before the first round

Make sure your gift connection is running and connected to your LIVE. Check the team names, gift choices and scoring before inviting everyone to play.

The demo on our product page lets you try the feel of a battle in your browser. Those demo gifts are pretend, so the demo does not check your own TikTok connection.

Keep the round easy to follow

Explain the two teams and how viewers can help. Keep the score visible, watch the battle from the app and reset when you are ready for another round.

If gifts are not moving the score, check that your gift connection is active and that the gifts you expect are assigned in the app. If the display is missing, check the link in your streaming software.

Keep these handy.
