Let’s get you ready for your next LIVE.

Give yourself a little time before your stream. Get connected, check that messages are coming through, then put StreamSpark somewhere you can see it while you talk.

Start on your Windows computer

Download StreamSpark from our Downloads page and install it on the computer you stream from. Enter the Activation Key from your purchase email when the app asks for it.

Keep an internet connection available for activation, chat connections and updates. You can buy on your phone, but you will need a Windows computer to use the app.

Choose where your chat comes from

For Twitch, connect your Twitch account inside StreamSpark. You do not need TikFinity if you only stream on Twitch.

For TikTok LIVE, you will need TikFinity or BetterTok. Open the connection setup in StreamSpark and follow the instructions for the one you use. TikFinity calls its connection link an OBS Dock URL. BetterTok calls its chat connection a Chat Webhook. Those are the labels to look for when the app asks you to connect.

Check your chat before the show

Keep StreamSpark and your chosen chat app open. Once your LIVE is connected, check that new messages appear in Live Room. If they do not, check the connection in both apps before going further.

You can ask someone you trust to send a message so you can see the full journey from chat to StreamSpark.

Keep a useful detail close

Open a person in People to see their saved memories. While you are LIVE, use the viewer card to glance at a detail without losing your place in the conversation.

A favorite game or a plan they mentioned can be enough. You decide what is useful to remember, and you can change it when it is no longer right.

If you get stuck

Check that the apps you use for chat are still open and connected. If Windows shows a warning during installation, read the notes on our Downloads page before you continue.

Tell us which app you are connecting, what you expected to happen and what you see instead. A screenshot can help. Keep activation keys and private chat messages out of public posts.
